Kickstarter Project – Wollstonecraft by Airship Ambassador

It’s well documented how much I love Kickstarter. It’s really one of those businesses that I wish I had been smart/visionary/brave enough to start, you know? And since I didn’t start it, I really like to support their community by either tweeting or supporting projects that catch my eye.

Wollstonecraft is the second project I’ve ever funded and so dear and close to my heart. Before the Internet, there were books. And I learned very early on (Thank you Mama & Papa Kang for teaching me how to read!) that almost anything anything you wanted to know: history, science, random miscellaneous info, adventure, laughter etc could be found between the pages of books. My daughter won’t know this but back in the day the pages of Britannica Encyclopedia was my version of Google.

Anyway, I love the message of this project. I bought it firstly for myself (a lover of books still to this day) and for my daughter. I hope she grows up to be “pro-math, pro-science, pro-history, pro-literature” like the author hopes this book will encourage young girls to be.
